Jan Swasthya Sahyog (JSS) is a voluntary, non-profit, registered society founded by a group of
health professionals committed to developing a low-cost and effective health program that provides
both preventive and curative services in the tribal and rural areas of Bilaspur district of
Chhattisgarh state in central India.

JSS runs a community health program through which it has trained 104 village health workers in 53 villages. These women provide rational first contact care using 20 different kinds of medicines and referral advice when required. |
Issues which affect our community include malaria, tuberculosis, and hunger. We are actively engaged in advocacy to address these issues. |
JSS runs 3 health centers in forest village clusters. These centres are manned by two senior health workers each and are supported by doctor based outreach clinics every week. |
